Founded on May 1, 2015, Boma International Hospitality College (BIHC) was established by the Kenya Red Cross to address the shortage of qualified, professional staff in the local and regional hospitality industry. The college partners with the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS) in Switzerland to provide Swiss-standard curriculum and training. Boma International Hospitality College Boma International Hospitality College +3 Key Historical Milestones: Establishment & Aim (2015): The Kenya Red Cross established BIHC to bridge the gap between education and the needs of the hospitality industry, having previously faced difficulties in staffing their own hotels with qualified individuals. Partnership: The college partners with the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS) in Switzerland for a curriculum that focuses on practical skills. Growth and Recognition (2015–Present): The first intake in May 2015 included 36 students. The college has expanded to include state-of-the-art kitchens and modern training facilities on Mombasa Road, Nairobi. BIHC students have participated in global culinary competitions and have been selected for international competitions. The institution continues to foster a global perspective, with student placements in the UK, USA, UAE, and the Caribbean.
